Springtime, or pictures after
framing and up to Sheetrock

This is the view of the back of the house across our little private
valley. It is finally springtime in the Rockies.

The framers are working on the fascia.

Here we have fascia, siding, some shingles and a front door.
We also have
windows! We were surprised to notice the reflection of the
trees in the windows.

This is the view with windows in from the bathtub.

More windows. This will be the final view from the great room.

We finally got into the Bonus Room Over the Garage (the BROG).
We don't know what we will do with it, but it was cheap
space. It has been wired for a home entertainment center.

We have rough plumbing and electrical.

One final picture of the crawl space. I am standing up taking
this picture.

Radiant floor heat. These tubes will have hot water going through them, and they will be buried in cement.

More tubes for the radiant floor heat.

Our floor gets poured. This gives the house more thermal mass.

Insulation. We decided to use dry blown cellulose on the
ceilings, and wet blown cellulose in the walls. Cellulose
resists air flow better than fiberglass. It is also a much
better sound barrier, and we are surrounding all bedrooms in cellulose.

One more insulation picture. This is the other side of the
great room.

Sheetrock! I am glad I wasn't around at this time, it must have been a mess.

Here is the great room after Sheetrock, mud and paint.

And here is the kitchen with Sheetrock, mud and paint.
