Summer, or pictures of finish work

The front of the house.  All we are lacking is a cement patio and stone.

We are getting closer to having the cement in front of the garage.

The rock work at the bottom of the back stairs. Notice the flagstone on top of the wall next to the stairs.

This picture is in the great room, looking at the front door.

This is the same as the picture above, but we now have tile on the floors and an aspen ceiling.  Aspen makes a beautiful ceiling!

A better view of the aspen ceiling. This ceiling is in both master bedrooms as well as the great room.

Tile and kitchen cabinets.  These are maple with a clear finish.

More tile, and the fireplace.  I am standing in the dining room.

Fireplace.  These are the stone masons.  They did a great job!

Once again, the front of the house. We now have our front porch, and the stone around the front of the house.

Our back railing being installed.

Pocket doors between the TV room and the great room. These are the knotty alder doors that we used throughout the inside of the house.

Maple wood flooring. This is actually laminate, which is easier on the environment and wears better than real wood. It looks almost too good - real wood will scratch and yellow with time, this floor should look like this for many, many years.

Master bathroom vanities and cabinets. Surface tops are Mojave color of Corian. Notice the lights above the window.

Bathtub, once again. Some of the horizontal surfaces are finished in Corian.

A wall of the master closet.

Utility room. From left to right, there are tall cabinets, work counter with cat box space underneath, bench for putting on and taking off shoes, and hooks for coats. This utility room doubles as a laundry room and mud room.
